Wooden Nickels

I think this is an overlooked form of scrip used during the 1930's and onward. There were alot of different forms. I'm mainly concentrating on what are called "flats". These are not the common round nickel type currency, but rather a square / rectangular shape nickel. There are a few "rounds" included though. I've collected the round ones when I thought they were unique enough to be part of this collection, or when I've been lucky enough to get them. Click on a state to see all kinds of wooden nickels.
